Bathroom Safety Builder
Notice what is becoming difficult in the bathroom, organize the concerns that matter most, and build a practical next-step plan for your family.
Start with what is difficult now.
You do not need to know whether the answer is a grab bar, shower chair, toilet change, remodel, or something else. Tell the Builder what you are noticing, and it will organize useful next steps.
About this Bathroom Safety Builder
Caregiver Compass™ Bathroom Safety Builder is an educational and organizational tool. It is not a medical evaluation, clinical fall-risk assessment, occupational or physical therapy assessment, engineering or construction evaluation, accessibility certification, building-code review, or determination that a bathroom is safe.
The Builder focuses on common bathroom concerns such as slippery surfaces, support around tubs, showers and toilets, mobility, lighting, transfers, and changing needs. National Institute on Aging and CDC fall-prevention guidance both identify bathroom support and nonslip surfaces as common areas families may want to review.
